Gladys Willard

Gladys Marie Willard, 87, of Center Baptist Church Rd., Jackson Springs, NC died Friday, January 23, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, Jan. 25 at New Birth Church of the Living God in Biscoe with Rev. Bucky Davis officiating. Interment will follow at McDonalds Baptist Church Cemetery in Rockingham. Mrs. Willard was born Feb. 13, 1921 in Richmond County to Brady Lane and Jennie Donathan Lane. She was a member of New Birth Church of the Living God. She was a Farmer. Preceding her in death was her husband Robert Marvin Willard. Mrs. Willard is survived by Sons; Robert Willard of Salisbury, Chuck Willard of High Point, David Willard of Norman, William Willard of Robbins, Jerry Willard of Robbins, and Donnie Willard of Pinehurst, daughters; Patsy Hart of Lakeview, Mary Jones of Hamlet, and Patricia Britt of Jackson Springs, a brother Herbert Lane of Wilson, sisters; Barbara Ann of Pinehurst, Betty Chance of Hamlet, and Alvaline King of West End, 32 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. The family will see friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
