Gina Furr Kennedy

Gina Kay Furr Kennedy, 77, of Candor, passed Sunday, March 12, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.  Graveside Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Biscoe Cemetery, with Rev. Jamie Sink officiating.

Born in Montgomery County on October 3, 1945, she was the daughter of Alberta and Vann Furr.  Gina worked as a beautician for most of her life, where she touched the lives of many.  She was a dedicated Mama and Granny, who cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Kennedy.

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her daughters, Amy Williamson (Lance) of Star, and Kelly Brewer (Seth) of Candor; son, Todd Kennedy (Tracey) of Carthage; brothers, Darrell Furr (Linda) of Asheboro, Nelson Furr (Teresa) of Candor, and Tim Furr (Terrie) of Candor; sisters, Judy Hurley of Charleston SC, and Janice McCaskill of Eagle Springs; sister-in-law, Jane Sanders (Randy) of Eldorado; 6 Grandchildren, Kevin Williamson, Ashleigh Thompson (Chase), Anna Hunsucker (Tommy), Will Kennedy, Grayson Brewer, and Riley Kennedy; 1 Great-grandchild, Lucas Hunsucker.
