Geneva Dorsett

Mrs. Geneva Hughes Dorsett, age 85 of Garner Road, Denton, NC died Saturday, April 4 at Mountain Vista Health Park. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 7 at First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Charles Tanner. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Garner Road. Mrs. Dorsett was born February 4, 1930 in Davidson County to Everette Hughes and Eula Snider Hughes. She was a member of first Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Dorsett of the home; sons, Raeford Dorsett and wife Brenda, James Dorsett and wife Pamela all of Denton and Buddy Dorsett of Thomasville; daughter Vickie Yates and Dennis of Denton; sisters, Florence Yates of Denton and Delores Huffman of Thomasville; 9 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
