Gary Branson Varner

Gary Branson Varner, age 71, of Todd Drive, Trinity died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Meridian Center in High Point. A private service will be held at a later date. Mr. Varner was born July 6, 1945 in Guilford County to William Branson and Hester Tysinger Varner. He was a member of Summerville Baptist Church. He owned a woodworking shop in Thomasville. He was also a member of the National Guard. He is survived by a son, Keith Varner of Shelby; a daughter, Delisa Dalton of Wilmington; a brother, Doug Varner of Lexington; a sister, Gayle Varner Hilton of Denton; his partner, Brenda Dennis of Thomasville and 2 grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Briggs Funeral Home of Denton is assisting the family with arrangements.
