Gail Hinson Bean

Martha Gail Hinson Bean, 82, of Bowman Rd., Candor, died Monday, January 11, 2021 at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in Pinehurst. Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Candor Cemetery, with Rev. Michael Free and Rev. Jack Phillips officiating. Born in Moore County on July 6, 1938, she was the daughter of Leon Bernard and Bessie Hartsell Hinson. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and had worked at Gilead Mfg and Klaussner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard C. Bean in 2004, and brother, Bobby Hinson. Mrs. Bean is survived by 3 sons, Bernard L. Bean (Susie), Jonathan G. Bean (Juanita), and Byron Scott Bean, all of Candor; sister-in-law, Gathel Hinson of Jackson Springs; 5 Grandchildren; 14 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Bean will lie-in-state from 2-5 PM Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home for family and friends to pay their respect, masks are required and social distancing is to be observed.
