Fred Peacock

Mr. Fred Carson Peacock, Jr. age 83 of North Main Street, Denton, NC died Friday, February 17 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, February 19 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Peacock was born August 27, 1928 in Guilford County to Fred Carson Peacock, Sr and Mary Lucille Little Peacock. He was a lifelong farmer and had owned and operated P & H Livestock Company where he bought and sold livestock. He also at one time owned and operated a gas station and store. He had an avid interest in Politics and the sport of Boxing. He was a devoted son to his mother and father and provided care for his mother who lived to be 100 years old. He was preceded in death by a son, Tony Peacock who died in 2009. He is survived by his daughter, Susan P Cook of Winston-Salem; a daughter-in-law, Dona M Peacock of Salisbury; and grandchildren.
