Mr. Fred Hulin, 71, of Hulin McDowell Rd., Denton passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at High Point Regional Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Salem Fellowship Church with Rev. Steven Nance officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Hulin will be open for public viewing on Friday, Oct. 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. The family will not be present.
Mr. Hulin was born in Randolph County on May 29, 1950 to James Arthur “Jim” Hulin and Canara Garner Hulin. Fred had worked as a carpenter, brick mason, and later he enjoyed farming. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Alma McDowell, and a brother, Clarence Hulin.
He is survived by his wife, Wana Hughes Hulin of the home; sons, Wesley Hulin of Denton and Kason Hulin (Johnna) of Denton; brothers, Tom and Holis Hulin both of Denton; sisters, Bessie Parrish of Trinity, Exie Mae Hedrick of Lexington, Jacquline Sexton and Sarah Hulin both of Denton; 3 grandchildren, Moddee Hulin, Maeson Hulin, and Carrie Ann Hulin.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
