Frances Gallimore

March 27, 1921 — September 25, 2018

  Mrs. Frances Hill Gallimore passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Lexington.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 Thursday, September 27 at Lineberry United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Gould and Rev. Scott Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence.   Frances was born on March 27, 1921 in Davidson County to Chester Ray Hill and Mary Alexander Prevost Hill.  She was a graduate of Denton High School class of 1938.  Frances worked at Bisher Hosiery Mill and Thornton Knitting Company in Denton and Bossong Hosiery Mill in Asheboro.  She was a member of Lineberry United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school.  She was a member of the United Methodist Women and Davidson County Extension Club.  Frances was a cake baker for many years sharing her talent with many folks.   Frances is survived by sons, Tommy Gallimore & wife Elaine and Alvin Gallimore & wife Angie both of Denton; daughters, Martha Hill of Lexington, Diane Snider of Denton, Judy Frank & husband Wayne and Evelyn Gordon & husband Randy all of Lexington; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.   Memorials can be made to Lineberry United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Linda Pearce, 2222 Piedmont School Road, Denton, NC 27239
