Florence Dennis

Mrs. Florence Bean Dennis, age 89 of Lick Creek Church Road, Denton, NC died Wednesday, December 31 at Thomasville Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, Jan 3 at Lick Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Steve Kiger and Rev. Hulon Pait. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Dennis was born November 2, 1919 in Davidson County to Anderson Lee (Dock) Bean and Della Kinney Bean. She was a member of Lick Creek Baptist Church and a 1939 graduate of Denton High School. She had worked at Surratt Hosiery Mill and Thornton Knitting Company. She was married to George T. Dennis who died May 25, 1977. She cared for her parents and her Aunt Eula Kinney during their later years. She is survived by a niece, Judy Barringer and husband Sammy; a nephew Joe Bean and wife Sharon, all of Denton. Great Nephews, Chris Bean and wife Shannon; Mark Barringer and wife Kristy; Daniel Barringer and Allison. Great Great Nieces and Nephew, Britney Latham Bean, Blake and Aliyah Compton. The family will see friends from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Saturday at Lick Creek Baptist Church and other times at the residence of Sammy & Judy Barringer on Lick Creek Church Road.
