Fallie Carrick

Fallie Mae Carrick, 82, died Friday May 30 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 3 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Carrick was born October 31, 1925 in Davidson County to Lois Carrick and Creola Owen Carrick. She worked as a pairer at Thornton Hosiery and Surratt Hosiery. Mrs. Carrick was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Carrick and three sisters, Myrtle Davis, Mattie Newsome, and Gladys Carrick. Survivors include her husband Hubert Carrick of the home; son Larry Carrick and wife Melba of Lexington; daughter Pam Kearns and husband Tom of Lexington; two sisters Alma Buie of Denton and Catherine Parker of Lexington; four grandchildren Tim Carrick, Misty Carrick, Ryan Kearns, and Traci Kearns and one great grandchild Burgundy Hunt. The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers Joan Hammonds, Barbara Crouse, Debra Stewart, and Felicia Walls. The family will receive friends Monday June 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Hwy 8.
