Evon Mashburn Pokrivka

Mrs. Evon “Dragon lady” Mashburn Pokrivka, 72, of S. Main St. Ext., Denton, NC passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at her residence.

Evon was born August 12, 1950, in Randolph County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Lula Cecil. Evon was of the Baptist faith and served her country in the United States Air Force. Alongside her husband they were the owners and operators of Cecil-Johnson Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sibling.

She is survived by her husband Richard Pokrivka of the home; daughter, Tammy Scott of Asheboro; granddaughter, Janie Marie Bartholow.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
