Evelyn Hardister Shaw

Ms. Evelyn Hardister Shaw, 83, formerly of Kidds Mountain Rd., Denton passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living in Asheboro.

A graveside service will be held 2:30 pm Monday Oct. 1, 2018 at Liberty Fellowship Church Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Draughn officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Kevin Hardister on Kidds Mountain Rd., Denton.

Ms. Shaw was born March 10, 1935 in Randolph County to E.D. “Dock” Hardister and Beulah Mae Tysinger Hardister. She was a graduate of Farmer High School and a member of Liberty Fellowship Church. Evelyn worked as a beautician for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother, Earl Hardister and sister, Brenda Crotts.

She is survived by brothers, Elsie Hardister, Rickie Hardister both of Denton, and Wayne Hardister of Greensboro; by several nieces and nephews, her roommate at Brookdale, Debbie Couch, friend, Paul Williams, and friend/neighbor, Louise Loggins.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Brookdale Senior Living for the wonderful care given to Evelyn.
