Evelyn Greene Jackson

Evelyn Greene Jackson, 81, of McCallum Pond Rd., died Sunday at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Community Baptist Church, with Rev. Buddy Maness officiating. Burial will follow in Candor Cemetery. She was born in Stanly County, October 24, 1932, the daughter of Archie Rufus and Nettie Elizabeth Sanders Greene. She was a beautician and was preceded in death by her husband, Josiah Boston Jackson, Jr. in 2000 and a daughter, Cynthia Sue Jackson. She is survived by 3 sons, Joe Bruce Jackson, Michael Dean Jackson, both of Candor and Matthew Alan Jackson of New York; 3 daughters, Deborah Ann Allen, Gwendolyn Jackson Greene and Evelyn Faith Jackson, all of Candor; brother, Sidney Lee Greene of Mt. Gilead; brother-in-law, William Jackson of Texas; 17 Grandchildren, Zachary and Kyllie Jackson, Anthony, Michael and Destiny Jackson, Cassandra, Aaron, Alan, Candace and Trace Jackson, DJ and Dani Lynn Allen, Jeremy and Ashley Greene, Waylon and Heather Blake and Terry Williamson; 35 Great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday.
