Mrs. Eula Mae Chavis Inman, age 80, of Denton died Wednesday, November 2 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. Funeral service for Mrs. Inman will be 2:00 pm Friday, November 4 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Vern Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Mrs. Inman was born September 12, 1931 in Robeson County to Willis L. and Alice Locklear Chavis. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and had worked at Councill Company in Denton. She was preceded in death by a brother Bracy Chavis and a sister Ionia Seagraves. Mrs. Inman is survived by her husband Billy Wayne Inman of Denton, sons Jerry Inman and wife Kelly of Asheboro and Mitchell Inman and wife Stephanie of Burlington, daughters, Linda Woody and husband Dennis of Burlington and Angie Gallimore and husband Alvin of Denton, brothers, Earl Chavis of Mebane and John F. Chavis of Arab, Alabama and sister, Annie Mae Herman of Creedmore. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lori, Keith, Angel, Ray, Little Jerry, Amy, Griffin and Conner and great-grandchildren, Jazmin, Austin, Chase, Allison, Anna, Tristan and Billy.
