Eugene Staley

Eugene Staley, 90, of Tom’s Creek Church Rd., Denton, died Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville.

A Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Summerville Baptist Church with Rev. Claudie Harrison and Rev. Thomas Frizzell officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Randolph County on February 11, 1932, he was the son of Arthur and Mary Alice Luck Staley.  He was a member at Summerville Baptist and owner/operator of Staley Knitting.

Mr. Staley is survived by his wife, Rebecca Buie Staley of the home; son, Sidney Staley (Gail) of Denton; Granddaughter, Melanie Staley (Trey Morrison); Great-grandchild, Sidney Monroe Staley.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service on Saturday at Summerville Baptist Church.

Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is in charge of arrangements.
