Ethel Mae Coble Potts, age 89 of Brown St. Denton, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Lexington Health Care. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 20 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted Rev. Jesse Howard and Rev. James Cooper. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of her son Michael Potts on Brown St. Mrs. Potts was born January 4, 1923 in Guilford County to Luther Martin Coble and Bessie Lou Hudson Coble. She was a member of Denton Church of God and had worked at Colony Craft Furniture. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carson Potts, by a son, John Junior Potts, by a daughter, JoAnn Potts, by brothers, Luther Martin Coble, Jr., Bobby Coble, Billy Coble, and Clarence Coble, by sister, Margaret C. Everhart, and by great granddaughter, Sarai Leonard. Survivors include, sons, Michael Potts and wife Kim of Denton and Larry Potts of Denton, daughters, Ida Potts and companion Billy Smith and Betty Gallimore and husband Curtis of Lexington, grandchildren, Sonya Stone, Pamela Gallimore, Clayton Gallimore, Gary James, Bradley Potts, Brian Potts, Chad Potts, and Amanda Leonard, and 7 great grandchildren.
