Mr. Ethan Arnold Hedrick, 91, formerly of NC HWY 47, Denton, NC passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Mountain Vista Health Park.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, Nov. 17 at Summerville Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Frizzell and Rev. Flynn Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hedrick was born on August 7, 1933, in Davidson County the son of Harvey Monroe Hedrick and Julia Loftin Hedrick. Ethan was a farmer and had previously worked for Thomasville Furniture Industries and Bingham Lumber Company. He was a faithful member of Summerville Baptist Church and enjoyed attending the Cowboy Church until a decline in his health. In addition to his parents, Ethan was also preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Gray Hedrick.
Ethan will be remembered as a kindhearted man that loved traveling, spending time at White Lake, NC, attending church services, eating out, attending events at the Denton Farm Park and senior events at the Denton Civic Center, square dancing, and listening to gospel music.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Hedrick Buie of High Point; brother, Dale Hedrick of Denton; and 3 special nieces, Susan Parrish, Julia Everhart and Kimberly Phillips.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and on Sunday the public can pay their respects from 9:00 AM until noon at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Mountain Vista Health Park for their loving care of Ethan.
