Elva Carrick

Mrs. Elva Owens Carrick, age 85 of S. Shore Drive, Lexington, NC died Sunday, December 20 at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 23 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Randy Blanton. Burial will follow at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends at Briggs Funeral Home from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Wednesday and other times will be at the residence. Mrs. Carrick was born in Davidson County on March 9, 1930. She was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was married to Willie Carrick who died January 28, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Rhonda Coppley, her mother Decie Coppley and sisters, Viola Lookabill and Pheobe Shirley. She is survived by a daughter Vickie Ribelin and husband Eddie of Lexington; sisters Rachel Welch of Thomasville and Wanda Johnson of Lexington; grandchildlren Angel Pendergrass and husband Max, Eric Lambeth and wife Susan, Kevin Ribelin and wife Wendy and Crystal Lambeth; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice Briggs Funeral Home is serving the family.
