Elsie Owens

Elsie Lou Owens, 77, of Mountain View Church Rd., Lexington died Friday, January 18, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, Jan. 21, at Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Miss Owens was born August 27, 1930 in Davidson County to Joe Henry Owens and Estella Laughlin Owens. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Zeola Marie Carrick. Survivors include; sister, Virgie Reid of Denton, brother, Clifford Owens of Lexington, niece, Kaye Talbert of Lexington, nephew, Donnie Owens of Lexington, great nieces, Jessica and Ashley, great nephews, Jeremy, Jimmy, Josh, and Donnie Jr., all of Lexington. The family will see friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Mountain View Church Rd.
