Mrs. Ellen Jacquelene Hulin Small Flannery, age 78, of Carillon Assisted Living in Asheboro died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 2 at Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church by Rev. Jeff Freeman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday, prior to the service, at the church. Mrs. Flannery was born January 13, 1932 in Randolph County to Johnny Franklin Hulin and Lillie Allred Hulin. She retired from High Point Furniture and was preceded in death by her first husband, Hoyle Franklin Small and a son, Donnie Ray Small. She is survived by her husband, James Mark Flannery of Denton; son, Hoyle Larson Small of Jacksonville, FL: daughters, Sharon Lynn Hunt and husband Roger of Pleasant Garden, Patricia Gail Bray and husband Bobby of Denton, Teresa Elaine Williams and husband Larry of Asheboro and Kathy Denese Cashion and husband Joe of Lexington; brothers, Jay Hulin and Glen Hulin, both of Denton; sisters, Magdalene Small and Betty Swaney, both of Trinity; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
