Elizabeth "Lib" Morris

January 28, 1925 — April 18, 2014

  Mrs. Elizabeth Covington “Lib” Morris age 89, formerly of Hanesbrook Ave., Clemmons and of Farmer Rd., Denton died Friday, April 18 at Regency Care in Clemmons. A graveside inurnment service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Denton Town Cemetery conducted by Rev. Sandy Young. Lib was born January 28, 1925 in Stanly County to B.M. Covington and Elizabeth Swanner Covington. She worked in the Hosiery Industry for many years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Denton. Lib was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Banks Morris, brother; Bill Covington, sisters; Lerleene Gallimore, Patsy Sikes, and Norma Smith. Survivors include, daughters; Joyce Spencer and husband Frank of Clemmons and Carol Hall and husband Walter of Advance, grandchildren; Dan Spencer and Holly Kaup and husband Jimmy, great grandchildren; Grayson and Harper, special nephew; Roger Gallimore, and by several nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends immediately following the graveside service. Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is serving the family of Mrs. Morris.
