Elizabeth Thomas Luther

Elizabeth Thomas Luther, 83, of Jackson Springs, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 30 at Pleasant Hill UMC, Morganton Rd., Jackson Springs, with Rev. Elizabeth Forester officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall at the church. She was the only child of William D. and Christian Kennedy Thomas of Jackson Springs. She graduated from West End High School in 1952 and later pursued her cosmetology license and operated a beauty shop for a number of years. She was always known for her love of animals, especially dogs and cats. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Lawrence of Jackson Springs and Ellen Fields (Ronnie) of Randleman, and numerous cousins.
