Elizabeth Inghilleri Brownworth

Elizabeth Marie Inghilleri Brownworth, 77, of Thomasville, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, Dec. 27 at Rich Fork Baptist Church, in Thomasville where she was a member with Pastor Michael Bowers officiating. Interment will follow at Canaan Global Methodist Church Cemetery in Denton.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Rich Fork Baptist Church prior to the service.

Elizabeth was born on August 28, 1947, the only child of Antonio Salvatore Inghilleri and Sofia Maria Pezzanite Inghilleri in Queens, New York. On February 12, 1967, in Smithtown, Long Island, New York, Elizabeth married her high school sweetheart Russell Brownworth, and they were married for nearly 58 years. An avid animal lover and a talented classical concert pianist, Elizabeth began studying piano at age 7 with Julliard professors, and later in life at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and The University of Florida. She played piano in every church she stepped in and anywhere her husband served as minister. Preceding her in death was her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Brownworth of the home; daughter, Jennifer Klim (Ken) of Lexington; son, Jason Brownworth of the home; daughter, Carrie Wynne (Shannon) of Orange Park, FL; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

As a woman of strong faith, she now resides in a world not made with hands of men, but with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The family ask that memorials be made to Riley’s Army, Inc., to help families facing childhood cancer at 1410 Evans St. Suite 12, Greenville, NC 27834.
