Mrs. Elizabeth (Lib) Thompson Bisher, age 94 of Salisbury Street, Denton died Tuesday, November 22 at Mountain Vista Health Park. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 27 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tammy Talbert and Rev. Benny Clodfelter officiating. Burial will follow in the Denton Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Ann Cook, 88 Forest Park Drive, Denton, NC Mrs. Bisher was born December 4, 1916 in Emanuel County, Georgia to Dennis Neil Thompson and Sallie Vivian McLeod Thompson. She was a homemaker, a member of First United Methodist Church and the Mamie Bisher Guild of the Church. She was a member of the Denton Woman’s club during it’s active days. She was married to William Harold Bisher who died October 25, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel (Robbie) Bisher Schreier who died September 8, 1994. Mrs. Bisher is survived by sons, William Morris Bisher of Denton and Richard Chisolm Bisher of Asheboro; daughters, Ann B. Cook of Denton, Sandra B. Boswell of Summerville and Dinah B. Askew of Greensboro fourteen (14) grandchildren, and fourteen (14) great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P. O.
