Edward Tex Mccallum

Edward Tex McCallum, 89, of McCallum Rd., died Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at his residence. Funeral Services will be private. Born in Montgomery County, on September 18, 1931, he was the son of Duncan and Lizzie Sasser McCallum. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Johnson McCallum on March 19, 2020; 2 sisters, Sue McCallum Woodruff and Betty Jean McCallum Reynolds. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, a mechanic and a farmer. He is survived by a son, Mark McCallum of Lexington; daughter, Jana McCallum of Candor; sister, Peggy McCallum of Candor and a grandchild, Tyler Kennedy. Memorials may be made to the FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Rd., Pinehurst NC 28374. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
