Mr. Edward Cecil (Ed) Rogers, age 48 ofNC Hwy # 47, Lexington, NC, died Tuesday, May 30 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Fairview United Methodist Church, conducted byRev. Doug Rowe.Burial with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in the Church Cemetery Mr. Rogers was born August 21, 1957 in Davidson County to Dwight Rogers and Marie Buie Rogers. He had worked as a self-employed log cutter and last worked at Davidson Alcoholic Center. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Tysinger Rogers of the home, sonsJohn Rogers and Andrew Rogers both of the home, a step-sonBranson Russell and wife Amanda of Asheboro, daugher Erica Rogers of the home, step-daughter Joey Stephens and husband Greg of Denton. His parents also survive Dwight & Marie Rogers of Lexington, along with sisters Helen Wylie of Denton; Sue Tarter of Lexington; and Margaret Rogers of West Jefferson.Three grandchildren Hunter, Nicholas and Natalie The family will see friends from 12:00 until 2:00 pm Saturday at Fairview United Methodist Chuch.
