Edna Batten

Edna Roberts Batten, 96, of Troy passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Mrs. Batten was born June 23, 1921 in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Eddie W. and Lottie McRae Roberts. Following her retirement from Capel Mills, she enjoyed dealing in antiques. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Branson Batten, a son Eugene Batten and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are her children, Larry Richard Batten of Rock Hill, SC and Sharon Riddick of Fuquay-Varina, NC; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and sisters Eunice Moore of Troy and Maxine Robinson of Albemarle. There will be no services at this time. Briggs Funeral Home in Troy is assisting the Batten family.
