Edmond Dickerson

August 22, 1925 — September 29, 2010

Mr. Edmond Keith “Ed” “Curly” Dickerson, age 85 of Hwy. 49 South, Denton died Wednesday, September 29 at his residence. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday, October 2 at Briggs Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terri Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday at Briggs Funeral Home. Mr. Dickerson was born August 22, 1925 in Bradford, PA to Harold and Edith Ledue Dickerson. He had worked as a welder at CE Air in Wellsville, NY and was an avid hunter and legendary trapper. He was preceded in death by a son, Isaac Dickerson on July 2, 2010 and two brothers, Robert Dickerson and Gerald Dickerson. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dixon Dickerson of the home, four sons, Lyle Dickerson of Olean, NY, Kenneth Dickerson of Ohio, Clarence Dickerson of Shinglehouse, PA and Christopher Dickerson of Denton, four daughters, Bonnie Allen of Fairfield, Ohio, Kathleen Dower of Port Allegany, PA, Nancy Thomas of Eldred, PA and Crystal Dickerson of Denton, three brothers, William Dickerson, Orin Dickerson and Tommy Dickerson, all of Millport, PA, one sister, Betty Linza of Belmont, NY, 22 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
