Edith Nance

\ Mrs. Edith Ring Nance, age 81 of Thomasville and formerly of Denton died Sunday, February 15 at Spring Arbor of Thomasville. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 18 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Jimmy Norred. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Mrs. Nance was born October 19, 1933 in Randolph County to Augustus Graham Ring and Ruth Pearce Ring. She was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church. She was married to Glenn Nance who died September 30, 1987. She is survived by a son, Randy Nance of Denton; daughter Janice N Hedrick and husband Lewis of Thomasville; half-brothers Lloyd McMahon and Jack McMahon both of Durham; half-sisters Alice Markham of Durham and Sue Barringer of Thomasville; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren. .
