Edith Rider Lambeth Gallimore, age 83 formerly of E. Holly Grove Rd., Thomasville died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. A graveside service will be held11:00 AM Thursday at Clarksbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. There will not be a public visitation. Mrs. Gallimore was born April 15, 1928 in Davidson County to Harrison Rider and Adline Snider Rider. She was a homemaker and a member of Clarksbury United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Odell Lambeth and by her second husband, Rex Gallimore, and by brothers, Lee and A. G. Rider, and by sisters, Mattie Leonard and Betha Webb. Mrs. Gallimore is survived by son, Gary Joyner and wife Tracy of Thomasville, step daughters; Jean Hege and husband Mike of Thomasville and Debbie Slack of Charlotte, brothers; Carl Rider and wife Barbara of Lexington and Astor Rider and wife Velna of Lexington, grandchildren; Cody, Holly, and Robby Joyner, step grandchildren; Shelly Slack, Rexanne Hege, and Eric Hege and wife Jessica and wife Mary, step great-grandchildren; Richard Slack, Zac Hege, and Dylan Hege, step great great-grandchild; Mckenzie Hege, and by special nieces; Cherry Surratt and Rhonda Holmes and special friend; Diane Carrick. In lieu of flowers the family ask memorials be sent to Smart Start of Davidson County, 235 E. Center St. Lexington NC, 27292. Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is assisting the Gallimore family.
