Edith Harris Blue

Edith Harris Blue, 95, of Jackson Springs, died Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Autumn Care in Biscoe.  Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Rev. Elizabeth Forester officiating.    Born in Marvell, Arkansas on April 25, 1922, she was the daughter of Burl Lee and Elizabeth Hartsfield Harris.  She was a homemaker and a member of Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Duncan Blue in 2008, 3 sons, Jerry Blue, Johnny Blue and Roger Blue, and a brother, Clarence Harris.   Mrs. Blue is survived by her daughter, Judy Blue Simmons of Candor; brother, Robert Harris of Eagle Springs; 2 sisters, Peggy Swaringen and Betty Richardson, both of Pinehurst; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.   The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.   Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
