Eddie Jason Short

Eddie Jason Short, aged 67, of Bringle Ferry Rd., Denton, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Born on September 8, 1957, in McDowell County, WV, he was the son of Jason Short and Mary Louise England Short.

Eddie dedicated his career to the furniture industry, working as a machine operator. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Shelby Ann Adams Short, and his brothers, Herbert Stevie Short, Walter Glenn Short, Timmy Darrell Short, and Mark Short.

He is survived by his children, Eddie Short III and his wife Kelly of Union Hall, VA, and Sabrina Ann Caps and her husband Jerry of Rocky Mount, VA. He also leaves behind his sisters, Teresa Morgan and Tina Burris, as well as six grandchildren: Taylor Short, Austin Short, Hailey Dudley, Katelyn Carty, Gracie Stroop, and Christopher Carty. Eddie was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Sanayia, Daylen, Xander, Logan, Waylon, and Ayla.
