Earl Richard Parsons, Jr.

Earl Richard Parsons, Jr., 80, of Candor, died Friday, October 12, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.  Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Candor Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Jarman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Candor Cemetery.

Mr. Parsons was born September 1, 1938 in Montgomery County to Earl R. Parsons, Sr. and Lorraine Maness Parsons. Mr. Parsons was a farmer, a member of Candor Baptist Church and attended Wingate College. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Brewer Parsons and brother-in-law, Gary Lakin.

He is survived by son, Rick Parsons of Candor; daughters, Lisa Parsons Dunn and Rene Parsons Geshel both of Candor; sister Julia Parsons Lakin of Virginia Beach, Va.; 5 grandchildren, Aaron Dunn, Brandon Grey, Shayna Parsons Graves, Alana Paige Parsons, Katie Lauren Harris; 1 great-grandchild, Raylee Caylina Graves.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
