Earl Knight, Jr.

Mr. Earl Legrande Knight, Jr. 79, of Denton Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Accordius Health in Salisbury, NC.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terri Cook officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 prior to the service. A private inurnment will be held later at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Knight was born February 2, 1943, in Columbia, SC to Earl Knight, Sr. and Madeline Stogner Knight. He attended New Beginnings Church. Earl was a salesman with Air Cool Engines and later Allied Power until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Johnny Knight (Sandra) and Danny Knight.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Fine Knight of the home; daughters, Robin Garrison (Robert of Lexington and Julia Younts (Robert) of Lexington; brother, James Robert Knight (Bonnie) of Kings Mountain; sisters, Grace Knight and Renee Allaire both of Columbia, SC; 5 grandchildren, Michael Knight, Matthew Younts, Brooke Ortega, Andrew Younts, and Stephanie Lanier; and numerous great-grandchildren.
