Earl Monroe King

Mr. Earl Monroe King, 75 , of N. Currant St. Pinebluff, NC passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019 at his residence.   A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, Oct. 31 at Middle Cross Baptist Church with Rev. David Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Springs Cemetery.   The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Candor Funeral Home.   Mr. King was born July 14, 1944 in Moore County to Major Monroe King and Hattie Florence Ingram. He was a member of Ives Memorial Baptist Church and had worked for Harris Printing as a Printer. Earl enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and building birdhouses. He once earned 3rd place in a state competition for his woodworking. What Earl enjoyed most was spending time with his grandchildren.   He is survived by his wife, Rachel Cagle King of the home; son, Timothy King and wife Jennifer of Southern Pines; daughter, Debra Tanner and husband Timothy of West End; sister, Louise Mabe of Jackson Springs; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.   Earl will be remembered as a Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
