Doyle Clinton Rorex

Doyle Clinton Rorex, 67, of Denton Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 3, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Flynn Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Thomasville.

Doyle was born June 27, 1956, in Davidson County, NC the son of George Clinton Rorex and Sally Floyd Rorex. He was member of Summerville Baptist Church. He had worked for Thomasville Furniture Industries as an assistant supervisor in plant D, and later Doyle delivered trailers for Kaufman Trailers, a job that he thoroughly enjoyed. As an avid outdoorsman Doyle loved hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed travelling, especially to the mountains. Preceding him in death was his father, George Clinton Rorex and his wife, Becky Embler Rorex.

He is survived by his sons, Andrew Rorex (Jennifer) of Youngsville, NC, and Matthew Rorex (Carrie) of Denton; mother, Sally Floyd Rorex of Thomasville; sister, Mitzi McDaniel (Marc) of Lexington; 3 grandchildren, Caroline, Davis, and Anna Beth Rorex.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 until 3:00 prior to the service and other times at the residence on Denton Rd.
