Douglas Towery

Doug Towery, age 60 of Alleghany Church Rd., Denton died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, November 16 at Denton Wesleyan Church with Rev. Charlie Collins and Rev. Charles Moses officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Towery was born April 2, 1947 in Davidson County to Jesse Towery and Helen Johnson Clark. He was self-employed in sales and attended Denton Wesleyan Church. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lain Towery of the home, one son, Wesley Towery of Denton and three daughters, Vanessa T. Gallimore and husband Chad of Denton, Sarah T. Shannon and husband Travis of Gillette, Wyoming and Mary T. Howell and husband Chan of Victoria, Texas. Mr. Towery is also survived by his mother of Thomasville, brothers, John Towery and Tim Towery, both of Thomasville and sister, Susan Twisdale of Lexington, three grandchildren, Shelby Gallimore, Dalton Towery and Skylar Towery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Friday at the church prior to the service.
