Douglas Reddick Powers

Douglas Reddick Powers, 101, of Hudson Dr., Ellerbe, died Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Hospice Haven of Richmond County. Memorial Services will be announced soon.

Born in Rochester, NY, on September 29, 1925, he was the son of Joseph William and Edna Allen Powers. He was a painter, having worked with Kodak Corporation. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving in the South Pacific Theatre in WWII.

Mr. Powers is survived by 3 sons, William “Bill” Douglas Powers (Susan Dianne) of Ellerbe, Robert Allen Powers (Darlene) of Geneseo NY, and Richard Fredrick Powers (Linda) of Ontario NY; 1 stepson; 2 step-daughters; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Water Christian Camp, PO Box 400, Candor NC 27229.
