Douglas Graylin Bowman

Douglas “Doug” Graylin Bowman, 58, of Bowman Rd., Aberdeen, died Tuesday morning at his residence.  Funeral Service will be 12:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Middlecross Baptist Church, with Rev. David Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Norman.

Born in Moore County on September 9, 1964, he was the son of Manley Wayne Bowman and Edna Harris Dix.  He was of the Baptist Faith and was a landscaping foreman for Southern Landscape Group.  He was preceded in death by his father in 1980.

Doug is survived by his wife, Rhonda Johnson Bowman of the home; his mother and stepfather, Edna Harris Dix (Charles) of Aberdeen; 2 stepsons, Jack “Jamie” A. McRae III of Biscoe and Christopher Ryan McRae of Mt. Holly; 2 sisters, Elaine Blackmon of Carthage and Kimberly Chisholm of Jackson Springs; brother, Christopher Dix of Pennsylvania; 3 grandchildren, Kiley Mae McRae, Garrett Michael McRae and Kristin Alyssa McRae.

The family will receive friends from 10:30AM – 12:00 PM Friday at Middlecross Baptist Church, and other times at the residence on Bowman Rd., Aberdeen.

Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
