Dorothy "Dot" Parker Saunders

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Parker Saunders, 87, of NC Hwy 109 North, Troy, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at her residence. Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Darren Everhart and Rev. Derald Smith officiating. She was born in Alamance County on July 5, 1926, the daughter of Maxie L. and Annie Sue Jackson Parker. She was a retired cafeteria worker. Mrs. Saunders was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert in 2004 and an infant daughter, Mandy in 1961. She is survived by a son, David Saunders of the home; a daughter, Susan Saunders Colby (Randy) of Raleigh; 3 grandchildren, Audra Saunders Wolfe (Kevin), Taylor Saunders and Tori Mazzochi; 3 Great-grandchildren, Ethan, Arista and Elena Saunders. Briggs Funeral Home of Troy is in charge of arrangements.
