Doris Garner Peacock

Doris Garner Peacock, 81 of Garner Dr., Denton died Monday, Feb. 20 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Peacock was born Nov. 11, 1924 in Davidson County to Nereus A. and Connie Snider Garner. She attended Denton High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for over 30 years. She enjoyed sending cards. Survivors are her husband Edward Peacock of the home, Daughters Vivian Surratt and Gloria Saunders, both of Denton, Connie Harrison of Lexingtona and Joyce Hepler of Southmount, Brothers Nolan Garner of Lexington, Lester Garner of Troy, Von Garner, N.A. Garner, James Garner all of Denton. Don Shaw of Thomasville: Ken Shaw of Farmer., Sisters Ruby Rash and Hazel Snider, both of Denton, Patty Misenheimer of Burlington: Gayle Lamb of Shelby and Anna Mae Burleson of Belksville, Md., Six Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton other times at the residence on Garner Dr.
