Doris Rogers Bailey Crenshaw, 79, of Bringle Ferry Rd., Denton. Died Friday, December 19, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at High Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Billie Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Crenshaw was born October 15, 1929 in Davidson County to Edward Rogers and Carrie Dunning Rogers. She worked for Dixie Furniture. She was a member of High Rock Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husbands, Walter Bailey and William Crenshaw, brother; Larry Rogers, and a sister; Helen Rogers. Survivors include, sons; Roger Bailey of Salisbury, Garland Bailey of Rockwell, and Russ Bailey of Denton, daughter; Ava Shaw of Denton, brothers; Vernon Rogers of Denton and Dwight Rogers of Winston Salem, sisters; Mary Lou Buie of Denton, and Brenda Tysinger of Lexington, 7 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 9 great grandchildren, and 6 step great grandchildren. The family will see friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Ava Shaw.
