Doris Hall Comer

Doris Evelyn Hall Comer, 89, of Lowder St., Albemarle, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in Albemarle. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Bensalem Evangelical Presbyterian Church, with Rev. William Catoe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Comer will lie in state for the public from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home. Born in Moore County on May 28, 1931, she was the daughter of Carson and Ina Lamonds Hall. She was a member of Bensalem Evangelical Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Comer, 2 daughters, Angela Morris and Melvina Comer, and a brother, Dolan Hall; 2 grandchildren. Mrs. Comer is survived by 2 sons, Orlando Comer of Jackson Springs and Kyle Comer (Kristy) of Eagle Springs; 2 daughters, Celia Haywood (Tilman) of Mt. Gilead and Cheryl Kearns (David) of Albemarle; brother, Keith Hall of Biscoe; sister, Lou Ellen Hinson of Biscoe; 8 Grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren; 4 Great-great-grandchildren.
