Doretta Carter Bell

Doretta Carter Bell, 69, of Golden St., Denton, NC passed away on Sunday, Sep. 22, 2024, at her residence.

Doretta was born in Rowan County on March 4, 1955, to Blanchard Carter and Louvada Hopkins Carter. She graduated from Central Davidson High School and was of the Baptist faith. Doretta had worked at Ultra-Mek and also in the textile industry before becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, having worked for Mountain Vista Health Park and in home care.

Left to cherish Doretta’s memory are her loving husband, Donnie Bell of the home; and her sister, Debra Roberts of Denton; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, Sep. 26, at the Denton Town Cemetery with Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM on Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home.
