Donnie Lee Strickland

Mr. Donnie Lee Strickland, 80, of Karen Dr., Denton, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at his residence.

A private memorial service is planned for a later date.

Donnie was born in Jesup, Georgia on August 10, 1940 the son of the late Robert Strickland and late Rachel Strickland and was of the Baptist Faith. Following graduation from high school Donnie served his country in The United States Army during the Vietnam War. Donnie retired from the US Army with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He is survived by his wife Valeria Merkle Strickland of the home; daughters, Lisa Forest of Texas, Christine Strickland of Thomasville, and Sandra Wyatt and husband Chris of Advance; niece, Cindy Gallimore; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Briggs Funeral Home is serving the Strickland family.
