Donnie Owen. Sr.

Mr. Donnie Lee Owen, Sr. age 61 of Mountain View Church Road, Lexington, NC died Friday, February 17 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, February 20 at Mountain View Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Miller. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence of his mother on Mountain View Church Road, Lexington. Mr. Owen was born March 25, 1955 in Davidson County to Clifford Lee Owen and Louise Hedrick Owen. He had worked in furniture manufacturing industry and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Melinda Jarrett Owen of the home; sons, Donnie Lee (Spanky) Owen, Jr. of the home, Jimmy Owens of Lexington and Jeremy Owen of Denton; daughter Ashley Owen of Lexington, mother Louise Owen of Lexington; sister Kaye Talbert of Lexington and grandchildren, Mackenzie Owens, Dylan Owens, Ella Owens Ayden Crocker and Alyson Kerik.
