Donna Gay Yates

Mrs .Donna Gay Hartley Yates, age 61 of Newsom Lane, Denton, NC died Saturday, December 15 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 18 at Summerville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Flynn Richardson and Rev. Mike Motley. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of the Father, Bryce Hartley on Newsom Lane.

Mrs. Yates was born April 22, 1957 in Rowan County to Harold Bryce Hartley and Annie Louise Newsom Hartley. She was a member of Summerville Baptist Church and had worked as a custodian at area churches. She was preceded in death by a daughter Danielle Yates, her mother, Louise Hartley and a brother Kail Hartley.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Yates of the home; son, Hunter Yates of Denton; daughters, Chrissy Morris and husband Eric and Dana Yates and husband Jordan Morris all of Winston-Salem, and Candace Yates of Denton; father Bryce Hartley of Denton; Sister-in-law, Sandra Hartley of Salisbury; grandchildren, Cori, Kamrin, Blake and Rustin; nephews, Travis Yates and Brandon Hartley;

The family will remember Donna Gay for her love of going to the beach and spending time with her Family
