Dollie Jernigan Leonard

Mrs. Dollie “Peggy”Jernigan Leonard, age 73, of Denton died Friday, August 30 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. A Memorial Service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, Sept. 5 at Clear Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Mrs. Leonard was born January 15, 1940 in Horry County, SC to J. M. and Othea “Minnie” Hodge Jernigan. She had worked at Lexington Furniture Industries and was a member of Gospel Way Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Tade Leonard. She is survived by two daughters, Sondra Hunsucker and husband Mark of Denton and Helen Britt Coates of Tabor City and one brother James Jernigan of Denton, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
