Diane Williams Reed

Diane M. Reed unexpectedly but peacefully passed away at her home in Candor, March 1st. Born December 5th, 1965, in Warsaw, NY, Diane was the daughter of the late Frederick and Joyce (Eddy) Williams.

Memorial Service will be 3:00 PM Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Donald Sawyer officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM prior to the service on Saturday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.

After overcoming a difficult past, Diane was able to settle in and discover a peaceful life with her love, Daniel Sawyer, Sr. The pair embraced their new life together as a devoted couple to each other, their home, and beloved dogs.

Diane leaves behind her three children, Molly (Ben) Carr of Aylett, VA, Danielle (Jason) Niedermaier of Norfolk, NY, and David Russell of Hornell, NY. She was proud of her children, often bragging about their accomplishments, of her 9 grandchildren, and regretted the distance between them. Diane also leaves behind her two loving brothers, Duane (Carolyn) Williams and Michael Williams. The three of them were the life of the party when they were together!

She is the loving aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She will be remembered for the laughter she brought with her and her perseverance.
