Ms. Diane Apple Cook age 56, of Brantley Gordon Rd., Denton passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, Jan. 10 at First United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Tammy Talbert and Rev. Sandy Young. Interment will follow at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Ms. Cook was born August 15, 1959 in Randolph County to Paul Edgar Apple and Colleen Snider Apple. Diane had worked as a teacher’s assistant and was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents Diane was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Thomas Apple. Surviving are sons, Chris Cook of Denton and Danny Cook of Raleigh, sister, Paula Apple of Denton, brother, Neil Apple and wife Rita of Seagrove; nieces Jessica Apple and Monica Yantin; great nephews, Dalton, Logan, and Jayden Yantin. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the church from 1:00 to 2:45 pm prior to the service. Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is serving the Cook Family.
